Basil-infused olive oil

Basil-Infused Olive Oil

Nonna's favourite herb; handpicked and pressed into this golden olive oil. Vibrand, herb-filled, and impossibly fresh, this fragrant oil adds that unmistakably Italian touch that Nonna loves.

San Marzano Tomatoes

Straight from Naples to your kitchen! San Marzano tomatoes are the secret to Nonna's sauces.

Soft, sweet, and low in acidity, these tomatoes melt into the pot like they've been simmering for hours.

Nonna's Summer Linguine

250g Aglio & Basilico Linguine

1 tin San Marzano Tomatoes (400g)

3 tbsp Basil-Infused Olive Oil

2 garlic cloves, crushed (optional)

Salt & freshly ground black pepper

Fresh basil leaves to garnish

Grated Grana Padano to serve

Italian linguine recipe
  1. Bring a large pot of water to the boil - salty as the sea. Cook the linguine for 5-6 minutes until al dente. Scoop some pasta water in a mug to save for later.

  2. While the pasta cooks, gently warm the basil oil in a pan over a medium heat. Add the extra garlic if using (crushed for a sweeter flavour) and fry until golden.

  3. Add the San Marzano tomatoes to the pan, smushing them with a wooden spoon. Simmer gently for 8-10 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. Season with salt & pepper.

  4. Toss the drained linguine in the tomato sauce, adding a splash of the pasta water to help combine the two.

  5. Serve with fresh basil leaves (just ask for a couple from the deli!) and a generous sprinkle of Grana Padano. Drizzle extra basil oil over the top for a fresh finish. Buon appetito!
